We're an independent music store located in the heart of Lawrence, Kansas - just a stone's throw from Kansas City and Topeka. You'll find us at the corner of 14th & Mass. Street. For over 40 years, we've been the quality resource for musicians to find great gear and get exceptional repair work done. Whether it's a guitar for your child, your first banjo or your dream guitar, we strive to provide the best electric and acoustic guitars, amps, folk instruments, pedals, pickups and more - plus the best service around. We are happy to do custom and special orders (it's a specialty of ours actually) and our Repair department is second to none - from strap buttons and pickup installations to mods to full restorations. We have a well-considered collection of gear in our store, at many different price levels – a 'starter guitar' is treated with as much care and consideration as boutique electric or acoustic, or a prized vintage Martin. Every new instrument gets a free set up from one of our four luthiers too. All used gear is carefully assessed by our staff and luthiers, before it ever goes on the floor or online.
