An 8-inch low-frequency transducer combined with the 1 1/4-inch tweeter produces unparalleled accuracy across the entire spectrum, with an almost entirely flat curve from 35 hz all the way to the top at 20kHz. The bass frequencies feel tight and clear, made so by the acoustic port and internal bracing, the mids are balanced, and the highs are kept pristine and smooth. 

Tweakable on the back are the Acoustic Tuning controls for tuning the monitors to your room. Two adjustable controls for boosting or cutting high and low frequencies, and a three-position Acoustic Space switch to manage bass boost from boundary placement, and a stepped high-pass filter control for low frequencies. Notable is the custom-designed Elliptical Boundary Modeled (EBM) waveguide which shapes the frequencies for a wider sweet spot when listening and rejects unwanted reverberations for absolute accuracy.
