JC Baxendale Guitars - 00-42 - Shade Top
Description
This 00-42 from the workshop of John Baxendale is an absolute delight to have here in the shop. Whether you're approaching the gutiar as a flatpicker or a fingerstyle player, this lightly braced build with upgraded tone woods delivers and then some. The bass and low-end response is deep, present and full while the high-end leaps out of the guitar with a very defined fundamental and miminal overtones - reminiscent of how our favorite vintage guitars respond.
Featuring an Adirondack spruce top over Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, this 00 sports striking vintage appointments such as the 42-style trim, torch inlay with stamped logo, along with under the hood details like hide glue construction, a dovetail neck joint and light bracing all combining for an elegant and beautiful sounding small-body guitar.
Built by a sole builder, with a hands-on approach to every detail, utilizing traditional materials and construction techniques to deliver what counts - a dynamic, responsive guitar that is certainly turning heads around the shop. We couldn't be more excited about adding JC Baxendale to our lineup of boutique acoustic guitars.
