Collings Acoustic Guitars - 001A T 14-Fret - Traditional Series

Description

This Collings 001 A Traditional is a small-body guitar that defies its size. We ordered up this 00 with an Adirondack top specifically for players looking to downsize from a dreadnought. With the 14-fret neck, and Adi top delivering more headroom, this 00 produces a ton of volume, allowing it to keep up in any flatpicking jam or gig. This model has always excelled as a fingerstyle player, and this one definitely does, and we couldn't be happier with how this tonewood/size combination turned out. Adding on the traditional package took that warm, rounded tone one step further.

The Traditional Series is marked by a return to just that, traditional building techniques and materials combined with the Collings exquisite attention to detail. This series is highlighted by traditional style bracing and tone woods which are adjusted, weighed and voiced to produce particularly warm, rounded highs while maintaining a full, rich low end. The extra thin Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, applied without a polyvinyl sealer, makes for a lively, expressive top that has the feel of an old vintage guitar.

Includes a Collings case along with a free Mass Street setup from our team of luthiers.
