Browne Amplification - Alkene - Nashville Overdrive

The Alkene from our KC friends Browne delivers a transparent overdrive with several clipping options for personal optimization. Based on famous Nashville overdrive sound, the "green side" of their Protein, the Alkene provides a lower-gain, clear drive with a full usable sweep across the whole range. It's got just the right amount of EQ in the circuit, with slightly scooped mids, tight bass, and clear highs. The sweep goes from crunchy rhythm tones with good note definition to singing leads when pushed. 

The external switch toggles between the softer symmetrical clipping and the harder asymmetrical clipping. Two internal switches--MORE CLIP & LOW CUT--activate another set of clipping diodes and bass roll off respectively when engaged. A wonderful take on a now-classic tone coming out of session musicians rigs made entirely here in Kansas City.
