Description

The Electronic Audio Experiments Limelight V2 is one of the more unique takes on the “Bluesbreaker-style” overdrive circuit, but with far more gain, clarity, and flexibility than most pedals in that category. Developed in collaboration with post-hardcore band Touché Amoré, the Limelight V2 combines a highly articulate overdrive circuit with an independent clean boost, making it equally at home pushing a clean amp into edge-of-breakup territory or stacking into heavier, aggressive textures. The response stays remarkably open and dynamic, with a bright, chiming top-end that never feels brittle and a low-end that remains tight even at higher gain settings.

What separates the Limelight from many traditional Bluesbreaker-inspired pedals is the amount of usable gain on tap and the way it retains note separation under heavier saturation. It has a more immediate, punchy feel than vintage-style low-gain drives, while still cleaning up naturally with picking dynamics and guitar volume changes. The independent boost section can be used on its own for a clean volume lift or stacked into the drive side for a more saturated, harmonically rich sound. It pairs exceptionally well with Fender-style amps, Vox circuits, and other clean-to-edge-of-breakup platforms.
