Vega Banjos - 1923 Style K - Leo Posch Custom Neck - 5-String Conversion

Originally manufactured in 1923, this 10" Vega Banjo-Mandolin was converted almost a century later by Kansan master luthier Leo Posch into a fantastic sounding 5-string banjo - with all of that woody plunk you're after. Complete with a skin head, custom-built neck with pearl inlays, wooden dowel, and a lack of a tone ring, this short-scale banjo has all of those vintage vibes in terms of look and sound. Leo's fastened a mighty handy tunnel-through 5th string tuner on the headstock, clearing up the neck from an extra tuner. Railroad spikes have been installed for the 5th string.

With over a century of history, this banjo is in Very Good condition with minimal marks to the wood and great functionality. The neck and dowel are all custom made, including a beautifully engraved floral design on the heel. A superbly easy player with fashionable and time-worn looks to boot, this 5-string conversion will suit your needs perfectly. Comes with TKL banjo case.
