Description

The Tomahawk Drive from Greer Amps makes a fantastic addition to a pedalboard in need of an overdrive or works great as a second stage OD to pull some grit and "tweed" character out of your rig. The Tomahawk features a simple 3 knob control layout with some interesting characteristics in the tone section. Sporting a treble knob, the EQ in the circuit is specifically designed to emulate that snappy tweed tone, with a bit of compression but plenty of bark. The Drive control takes you from a bitey, low drive to a snarly grit at the top with plenty of nuance in between. Players would be remiss if they didn't experiment with every tonal options the Tomahawk offers. It can also be powered by a standard 9v supply or up to 18v for a bit more headroom and stiffness in the sound.
