Daytona's Home For Used and Vintage Guitars.

The Guitar Attic was born in the summer of 2002 after owner Randy Pepper who had worked for every music store in the Daytona Bch area, He had figured it was time to stop making everyone else money. Randy who once owned the The Guitar Exchange in Ormond Bch and has been dealing with used and vintage instruments since 1976 and has owned some of the holy grails through out the years. These include a 58 and 59 Gibson flying v, 59 Flametop Les Paul, 50's and 60's Fender Strats and many early 335's. He in recent years has started collecting early PRS guitars for their fine craftsmanship and tone. Randy is not just a guitar freak but also a pro guitarist who has recorded two CD's and won awards for both his playing and songwriting. In the little spear time he has between looking for new stock for the store, he is a major NASCAR fan and has been racing online for 10 years with fellow online racers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Denny Hamlin and Carl Edwards. He is also married to his wife Sandy and has a wonderful little girl. Now that you know a little about the owner now let us tell you about the store. We always try to offer a great product at fair market value and always try to offer clean used instruments that make you want to play more. So many guitars are bought and never played because they just don't play well and we try to set each guitar up to make it play as easy as possible. Being run by pro musicians we can help you find the right piece to fit your needs at great a price. We carry mainly carry used guitars but from time to time will get a brand new guitar in trade and we are an authorized dealer for NASH Guitars, ESP and Breedlove. We carry new and used amps and pedals from all the major brands. We carry new Dr Z, Egnater and more. Our expert guitar repair department will help you decide what pickups or setup fits your needs. One thing you won't find in our store is DJ equipment, since we don't feel that DJ's are real musicians. I have been devoted to music for as long as I can remember, starting piano lessons at the age of 7. While raised on a steady regimen of classical music, it wasn't long before I discovered rock & roll, including the Beatles and Stones, and the guitar greats: Hendrix, Page, Clapton, and Beck. It was time to put classical music aside, pick up the guitar, and learn all the Jimmy Reed tunes I could find. I have been playing both keyboards and guitar in bands ever since! While I am a much better keyboard player than guitar player, and play a Steinway B Concert Grand and Hammond B-3 at home, I love the portable aspect of guitars; you can take AND play them anywhere, and the guitar is a very different playing experience than the keyboards; I would get bored with just one! I am a guitar fanatic, plain and simple; that is why I started this site! I love acquiring classic guitars from the 1950's and 1960's; however, quality is the overriding factor. I've been a player for 60 years, a collector for more than 25. I specialize in Gibson ES-335s, 345s, 355s from the 50's and early to mid 60's. Nobody in the world buys more 1958-1964 ES-335's, 345's and 355's and nobody sells more of them. I occasionally come across other cool gear that I just can't pass up like Fender tweed amps and the occasional SG, Strat, Tele, Firebird or Jazzmaster. Online sales only for now.

An ex-blues, rock and studio musician, from the ancient 1965-1972 years, and a collector since 1975. I exhibit at guitar shows like the Philly shows but I don't have a store. I buy only guitars I fall in love with and enjoy playing, I have very few electrics and concentrate on amazing sounding acoustics of any pedigree. I love finding cheap vintage guitars that I fix up to sound and play wonderfully. I prefer customers try out guitars in person before buying them, so I meet buyers interested in trying out a guitar at my Manhattan apartment, 207 East 76 Street, apt #2D or anywhere else convenient in the NYC metro area. I don't take credit cards or paypal-very bad past experiences, ask me about them and i'll bore you with them. I try to be accurate in my de*unsafe*ions and as a result I've only had one return in 15 years of selling. I am rarely interested in trading. I have one o the largest collection of 50's & 60's Gibson acoustics J-45's, Southern Jumbos) in the East. I only buy guitars I personally would like to own because they sound great and are priced right. I recently hard a catastrophic car accident where i was supposed to be in a wheelchair. I have made a miraculous recovery to where I now can walk butty rehab is slow. Please bear with me as i am not always near my inventory and have a little more trouble getting around. Many dealers feel 60's Gibsons with adjustable saddles need replacement bridges to sound right, but that opinion has changed. I judge these guitars on a case to case basis ruled by the maxim- if it aint broke, don't fix it, or if it sounds amazing leave it alone. These adjustable saddle models often sound great as they are. If not, we replace them with new glued in bridges. As a result I am interested in buying Gibsons from the 1945-1969 period and I am especially interested in 1964 and 1968 models and earlier as they are lightly built and generally sound superb. All my instruments are scrutinized and repaired by excellent luthier/repair persons on the East Coast- Joe Jesselli of Northport, NY- 631 902 6744 is one,.He was the one and only apprentice to D'Aquisto (for seven years) and is the true heir to the throne of pre-eminent luthier and a modern master with his own line of distinctive electric guitar designs. My guitars must pass CSI-like analysis. I make all the necessary repairs before I post the instruments on Gbase for sale so that my guitar collection has no hidden flaws and that each piece is as good as it can be.
