Taylor Next Generation Gold Label 917e Grand Pacific Torrefied Adirondack Spruce/Honduran Rosewood Natural w/L.R. Baggs Element
Description
Boasting top-shelf tonewoods and a stunning array of appointments, the Gold Label 917e delivers sonic and visual sophistication shaped by its heritage inspiration and modern Taylor innovation. Honduran rosewood back and sides paired with a torrefied Adirondack spruce top in a reimagined Grand Pacific body, yielding a sublimely textured tone rich with lush, blooming overtones. The deeper-bodied round-shoulder dreadnought design produces greater projection, warmth and low-end expansiveness, while ensuring the pleasing musical clarity that Taylors are renowned for.
A fanned variant of our V-Class® voicing architecture increases low-end resonance, volume, sustain and harmonic agreement between notes up and down the fretboard. A slender Action Control Neck™ enables swift string height adjustments without requiring removal of the neck or strings. Its long-tenon design enhances the wood coupling between body and neck, further boosting low-end resonance.
This model features a modified peghead shape with an angled-back design, script-style Taylor logo and paua purfling that culminates in a distinctive visual flourish at its crown. Other aesthetic touches include a full-body gloss finish, new paua/mother-of-pearl Continental Deluxe inlays, a single-ring paua/Honduran rosewood rosette, a Honduran rosewood curve wing bridge, Indian rosewood bridge pins, grained ivoroid binding, and paua fretboard and top purfling. Equipped with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners with ebony buttons, this model comes in a deluxe hardshell case with a British Cocoa exterior.
