A new arrival, an especially fine Santa Cruz OM from 2007 with custom chosen Brazilian rosewood and European spruce. The frets are stainless steel and it's had a factory PLEK job. Condition is excellent.
One interesting (to me at least) factor is the depth, 4 inches. Too often, builders add to the depth to achieve more bass. My experience informs me that the bass that comes from a deeper body is often counter to what's special to the OM, which is superior response and clarity. Therefore, I was pleased to note that Santa Cruz has kept to the proper 4 inch depth. Another positive OM feature found on this OM is the wider spacing at the bridge.
