Moon Custom Guitars PGM S-Style Made In Japan 1980s - Natural
Description
Here we have a Moon Custom Guitars Strat-style guitar from Japan. This one is in very good overall condition and plays quite well.
It features a bolt-on maple neck with an ebony board and an exotic body. It has a Fender-style headstock with Kluson deluxe tuners, a brass nut, and vintage tremolo. It has Bartolini pickups and a mirror guard. It has a 25.5" scale length, 1.650" nut width, and a flat 12" radius.
The guitar weighs 9lbs. The neck measures .835 to .925 at the 1st and 12th. It has a slim C shaped profile reminiscent of slab board Fender guitars. It feels really nice under the picking hand and is easy to navigate. It's fairly loud acoustically and has a nice twangy Strat tone.
The guitar looks really good beyond the plating on the hardware. There is checking on the headstock face and a couple smaller dings on the back of the neck but real finish wear. The body appears to be oil finished and looks great. The guard and gold parts all show oxidation, light wear, and worn plating however. The frets have some divoting down low but function fine.
Overall a cool build and a fun guitar to play. Ships in a modern G&G case. There is no tremolo arm and no back plate included.
