1970 Martin D-45 Acoustic Dreadnought Vintage Guitar ONE OWNER Scalloped!

On-Hold… Here’s a unique 1970 Martin D-45 that just came in from the original owner and has been thoughtfully upgraded early in its life to make it an exceptional player-grade vintage D-45. The braces were professionally scalloped in the first year of ownership, and the neck was reshaped/resprayed to a very comfortable soft V profile, giving this guitar a feel and response many players actively seek.

It has also had a professional neck reset and a pickguard replacement recently. Structurally, it’s in great shape with no cracks, aside from the very typical small crack just off the pickguard, which has already been repaired cleanly. The finish is original overall, with the exception of a single drop-filled ding on the top and the back of the neck from the reshaping work.

The guitar plays exceptionally well with low, easy action and delivers a big, strong D-45 voice with excellent volume, clarity, and balance. Built with a spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, and notably, the headplate appears to be Brazilian rosewood, which makes sense given how early this 1970 example is.

Comes with an original blue Martin hardshell case as shown. A great opportunity to own a vintage D-45 that’s been dialed in for real-world playing!
