This Lakland Skyline 5-String J-Bass is manufactured to the same specifications as their US-made basses and outfitted with the same passively delicious Lakland J-style pickups. A superb player. The Lakland pickups replicate vintage bass tones as well as we've ever heard and players love the comfy taper of the neck. Just like all of their 5 string basses, it features a 35" scale length for some killer low B's! It's the secret ingredient that makes these instruments boom with piano-like clarity!!
While the Skyline Basses are manufactured overseas, they are fully assembled and set-up in the USA, and just a few minutes from our shop here in Chicago. They're also run through Lakland's PLEK machine to ensure optimum playability.
