Silvertone Aristocrat Deluxe Acoustic Archtop 1947 - Sunburst
Description
Here we have a vintage Silvertone Aristocrat acoustic archtop guitar! This one is in very good condition overall.
Specs include a solid spruce top, lightly figured maple back & sides, a one piece maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, art deco inlays, deluxe tuners, white guard, rosewood bridge, trapeze tailpiece, and a tortoise headstock veneer. It is a 17” wide guitar with a 3 1/2” body depth. The nut is 1 5/8” wide and it has a 25 3/4” scale length.
This guitar has been refrettted, the nut has been changed, and it has a new set of deluxe tuners on it. The bridge and base appear to be replaced as well. The guitar shows checking, scratches, dings, and strum wear across its surface. It looks like the neck was reset at some point, but the architecture of the guitar is sound and the neck is straight.
This one weighs in right at 5lbs. The neck measures .980 to 1.150 at the 1st and 9th frets. It’s a massive rounded C neck with plenty of vintage vibe that feels nice. Though refretted, the frets do show a touch of light player wear down low. The guitar has a big acoustic tone, jaunty and percussive, just like you’d expect from a big band era instrument. It’s a neat model that is fun to play, and we especially love the headstock artwork!
Ships in a hardshell case.
