1940 National Style O resonator German Silver

Serial #2479G on a small brass plate tacked on the back of the headstock.Paddle headstock beauty that has been recently brought back to life by the talented National repair staff at San Obispo. Clean and shiny, the only years they put palm tree etchings on the sides, black melamine plastic on front head-stock with incised logo and metal covers over the tuning machines on the back headstock. Back of the neck had the pitted finish removed and has been sanded down smooth to bare wood and oiled. Fretboard/neck has been cleaned, straightened and refretted. Action is great and guitar sounds like a cannon. I believe the 40’s Style O’s to be the epitome of metal resonator style.
