1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom - Ex-Richie Faulkner

Description

An exceptionally beautiful 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom which belonged to Richie Faulkner, in very good condition.

This Black Beauty comes straight from the second period of Les Paul production, which started again in 1968 after a 7-year hiatus. True to its lineage, this instrument sports the Gibson logo with the 5-piece split-diamond inlay on the headstock, the block inlays on the ebony fretboard, its two Patent No. labeled humbucker pickups with that classic 60s Gibson sound, and of course the highly recognisable Ebony finish with a stunning checking pattern. The guitar is in original condition, with the exception of its two volume potentiometers which were replaced at some point in the 70s.

Undoubtedly, this guitar has been through a lot – and for good reason, it comes straight from the personal collection of Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner (documentation and photos attesting of this will be provided along with the guitar). It is thus fair to say this instrument has earned its wings, on top of standing among the most classy solidbody guitars ever produced by Gibson. Complete professional setup done in our workshop, in perfect playing condition.

Sold in its original Gibson hardshell case.
