1961 Fender Bass Ⅵ "First Issue"

Description

The Fender Bass VI was used in various ways: for the bass part in The Beatles' “Get Back” sessions, in Jack Bruce's playing during his Cream era, and by Aerosmith's Joe Perry for solo play with distortion sound.

This is a Bass VI from the first year of production, 1961.
After 1963, it was replaced by the high-output pickup same as Jaguar's, but this one features a rare early specification with a structure similar to a standard single-coil pickup.

While signs of age are visible on the wear and weathering, overall it remains in excellent condition as vintage gear.

The bridge saddle height adjustment screws have been replaced.
