Fender Custom Shop 2021 1959 Stratocaster Heavy Relic
This is the “1959 Stratocaster Heavy Relic” model in Faded Aged Chocolate 3-Tone Sunburst.
This model faithfully recreates a 1959 Stratocaster with a slab-mounted fingerboard. Its bold relic finish evokes years of wear and tear, with a heavily worn neck grip, chipped paint on the body back, meticulously applied weather checking, dents on the body edges, and tarnished metal parts.
The neck has a “60 Style Oval C” profile, an AAA-grade rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius, and jumbo frets for optimal playability.
It features hand-wound “Texas Special” pickups signed “VC,” equipped with the “Vintage Mod. Wiring #2” circuit with a dedicated rear-position capacitor. (The tone control has a shallow response in the rear position.)
The guitar shows minimal wear and there is no visible fret wear. The neck and truss rod are in perfect condition.
