1966 Gibson Melody Maker – Pelham Blue
Description
There’s no need to feel blue while playing this awesome 1966 Gibson Melody Maker in Pelham Blue! The Melody Maker bass was marketed as a beginner’s model in the Gibson lineup, just below its older brother, the EB-0, which had the same materials and scale length. The significant differences are that the melody maker features a full-face white pickguard, white indicator knobs, a bass tune-o-matic bridge with nylon saddles, and more budget-friendly tuners. That being said, this bass is still a serious instrument, with an intense, rich tone thanks to its Mudbucker and a fantastic feel throughout the neck. The slim nut width makes it a joy to play, and with its great sound, it’s hard to put it down!
