1950 Fender Broadcaster – Blond
Description
If you always wanted a piece of Fender history, this beautiful 1950 Fender Broadcaster will scratch that itch! The Broadcaster was Fender’s first production solid-bodied guitar, which became the Telecaster we all know and love after a brief naming dispute. This particular example has all of the hallmarks the Broadcaster is loved for; an extremely comfortable neck profile, a unique opaque Blond finish, and the original bakelite pickguard. To keep it looking and playing as good as it does, this neck was professionally refretted and refinished, while the body finish and electronics remain completely original. A crack in the neck heel was also repaired at this time and is completely stable. The tuners are also later Kluson single line ‘Deluxe’, but there are no extra holes. Overall, it’s a great sounding and playing guitar.
Overall Condition: 7, playwear throughout, buckle rash, patina
