Description

By Master Luthier Michael Walker, Arcata, CA
Finest European Spruce and Brazilian Rosewood
Twelve Fret Cutaway, 0000 Size

Build by Michael Walker of Arcata CA, this guitar is the latest itteration of Schoenberg's special Quartet model, the 16" 12-fret cutaway. This one is out of European spruce and Brazilian rosewood and built lightly, approximately 1930 spec, and as a result it's very responsive and the bass response is strikingly deep. We've worked hard on understanding and shaping of the neck, and thus it has a touch more width yet plays like a narrower neck. We've also bucked a trend and started building thinner bodies, while the trend has been to go deeper, choosing response and clarity through the full range from the deepest lows to the skies.
