1973 Martin D12-35

A real beauty here! This is 12 string royalty (IOHO). We start with gorgeous/warm, aged Indian rosewood back and sides (with the familiar D-35 rosewood wedge inlay on the back). We then add the resonant spruce top. For comfort, the ebony fretboard is smooth and has plenty of freshly crowned fret left. The easy to play mahogany neck is set properly and the action is to spec and quite comfortable. The bridge is also ebony and sets off the understated looks of this jewel perfectly. All parts are original and in proper order. There was a bit of loose binding that was professionally restored to proper condition (virtually undetectable), as well as a cleated and professionally filled crack at the pickguard (quite common on these 70’s Martins). The pickguard was replaced (as is also quite common). She’s inspected, structurally sound and ready to pull out of the case and play with ringing warm tone. Comes in original case with all the looks and feel of a well broken-in vintage Martin. The tone on this one really is very special. We consider these 12-35’s as the Cadillac of 12 strings. This is the perfect time to add one to your collection!
