Here we have a beautiful Ibanez Prestige SR5000 4-string bass! This one was made in Japan and sports an oil finish.

Specs include a wenge top, mahogany body center, wenge back, 5-piece wenge/bubinga neck, and wenge fingerboard. It has Gotoh tuners, mono-rail bridge saddles and Ibanez active electronics with onboard EQ. It’s loaded with a set of custom Bartolini pickups.

This bass is in very good condition, though there are two areas above each of the pickups where someone’s thumbnail has digged lightly into the wood while playing. There is also a small ding on the back of the neck about 1cm long. Beyond this, the bass is in very good shape with light signs of use and handling.

It weighs in right at 9lbs. The neck measures .730 to .890 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a slim to medium D shaped neck that is virtually flat at the apex. Most of the weight is in the body and the bass balances nicely in your lap. We love the sculpted feel, and the oil finish keeps this one feeling both smooth and natural at the same time. It plays nicely up and down the neck and has an excellent tone.

Ships in the original molded hardshell case and includes the hang tags and owners manual.
