Circa 1965 Hofner 500/1 “Beatle Bass” – Sunburst
Description
Calling all Beatles fans, or if you simply enjoy playing a comfortable bass, this 1965 Hofner 500/1 “Beatles Bass” has your name on it! The first 500/1 bass was released in 1956, and thanks to Sir Paul McCartney, it has remained in production ever since. This particular bass features the raised “Hofner” logo on the headstock, a bound fretboard, and a slightly larger control plate; all features you would expect to find on a Hofner from this time period. This bass is from any breaks, with one added strap button and one small repair to the binding on the treble side inner bout. This one has the pickguard removed for that Paul McCartney look!
Overall Condition: 7.5, wear to the top, weather checking, patina, playwear throughout, small binding touch-up
