Gibson Custom Shop 2024 Historic Collection PSL 1959 Les Paul Gloss
This is a "Pre Sold Limited" (PSL) "1959 Les Paul Gloss" model, which was ordered by a Japanese dealer and has specs that are not included in the catalogue.
It is made of locally selected flamed maple with a beautiful grain that looks different depending on the viewing angle, and it has Factory Burst finish that recreates the clear reddish cherry sunburst of 1959.
While Aged and VOS finishes have become more common in recent years, this model has a gloss finish.
The hide gluing and parts have been carried over from the True Historic series, and the headstock logo shape and silkscreen tint, fingerboard inlay material, vintage taper pot, and bumblebee-type oil capacitors have been adopted for the 2019 specs.
The neck is an Authentic 59 Medium "C" shape, which has been used since 2018 and is slightly thinner than earlier '59 models.
The pickups are un-potted Custombuckers.
There are multiple scuffs and scratches on the body back and end.
There is almost no fret wear, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
