A 1974 Gibson Les Paul Signature Bass in Ultra Rare Sunburst Finish. A Complete Example that includes its Original Purple Lined Hardshell Case, Gibson Hang Tag, and Bridge Cover. Semi-Hollow Body Construction, Gibson's Low Impendence "Super Humbucking" pickup, Master Volume & Tone Controls, Three Position Frequency Switch, Rosewood Fingerboard with Crown Inlays, and Both High and Low Output Jacks. Excellent Vintage Condition displaying some light use and fine finish checking. With the majority of Les Paul Signature basses receiving a Goldtop finish, finding a nice Sunburst bass example is the proverbial needle in the haystack. Published Gibson Shipping totals do not break down the number of Signature basses shipped by color. However if you look at the Les Paul Signature guitar totals, only 85 Sunburst guitars were shipped compared to 1378 Goldtops. With only 627 total Les Paul Signature basses shipped the number of Sunburst examples produced could be under 50.
