1970 Gibson Thunderbird II – Frost Blue

Description

Check out this super vibey 1970 Gibson Thunderbird II in its original and rare custom color finish, Frost Blue! The rarity of this bird didn’t stop the former owner from playing this one night after night, given the wear and patina to match a gigging instrument! We’re lucky to have some old photos of the bass with one of, if not its original owner, found on the record sleeve for his band, Monster Island. This bass plays great and sounds absolutely thunderous, amped up. The biggest note is that this bass had a partial headstock break or “smile” that has been professionally repaired and remains stable. It has also seen a refret and new bone nut to keep it playing great for years to come! Along with the record, this guitar also comes with a mint 1968 Gibson Catalog and its original case covered in stickers!

Overall Condition: 6.5, playwear, patina, previously mentioned repaired crack
