1947 Gibson LG-1 Vintage Acoustic Guitar FIRESTRIPE Pickguard, NO CRACKS!

Very nice 1940s Gibson LG-1 with the rare firestripe pickguard. This one is tidy and honest, with no cracks and the original finish throughout. It appears to be all original aside from the tuners, and the bridgeplate has a well-done cap that was professionally installed and doesn’t detract from the guitar at all. The Factory Order Number is 76x which dates it to 1947 though it is a bit hard to read.

Structurally, this LG-1 is in very good shape. It plays well with comfortable action, and has the dry, woody sound these ladder-braced Gibsons are known for. The sunburst top has a bit of red hue around the bridge, which is unusual but appears to be original and part of the guitar’s character.

A clean, no-nonsense vintage Gibson LG-1 that’s becoming harder to find in this condition. Comes with a case, along with some old strings that have been with the guitar for a long time.
