1951 Gibson ES-5 – Natural
Description
This stunning and clean 1951 Gibson ES-5 in Natural is quite the world traveler with an amazing original owner story! This guitar was originally sold by Chicago Musical Instrument Co. and shipped to Roger L. Gibson, a US Air Force Sgt. who was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany at the Rhein-Main Air Base. It was flown to him by Pan Am Airlines. Shortly after receiving it, he ended up selling it to a local German musician. We know all of this due to the insane amount of paperwork that is found in this guitar’s case. This second owner, Werner Heinz Musiol, was a pro-musician who played on a German broadcasting program. There are also original owner photos in the case of him with this guitar. What an amazing and well-documented instrument and piece of history!
