1956 Gibson EB-1 – Dark Mahogany

Description

This 1956 Gibson EB-1 in Dark Mahogany is a perfect example of Gibson’s first attempt at an electric bass! Featuring a violin-inspired body design, painted f-holes, and a carved top, this bass was designed to capture the classic stand-up bass players who may be hesitant to adopt the new form of playing bass. Gibson even included a telescopic stand that would fit into the bottom strap button, which would allow you to play the bass standing up! We’re pleased to say this neat little feature is included in the sale of this bass, along with its original Brown hardshell case.

Overall Condition: 7.5, weather checking, some light dings and impressions throughout
