Fender Custom Shop 2016 MBS 1954 Telecaster Heavy Relic by Jason Smith
This is a 1970 Stratocaster Relic model was made by Jason Davis, a former master builder who now runs his own brand, Davis Custom Guitars.
It is a reproduction of a 1954 Telecaster with a one-piece ash body.
The body features meticulously recreated fine weather checking, dents and buckle marks across its entire surface, as well as paint peeling on the neck heel. These details, faithfully reproduced by the builder, give the guitar the appearance of a vintage instrument that has been played intensely over many years.
The neck has a slightly thicker soft V-shape and a 7.25-inch radius fingerboard with medium jumbo frets.
The pickups are hand-wound model with flat pole pieces) and are signed by Josefina Campos.
There is some slight fret wear, primarily in the lower positions, but approximately 80% of the frets are intact overall.
There are no issues with the neck or truss rod.
