2025 Fender Custom Shop '61 Jazz Bass Faded Dakota Red
Description
Faded Dakota Red, a great looking finish reminiscent of some 80’s
Fender colors. The alder body is sorted for light weight and comes in at a very reasonable 9.5 lbs, so your shoulder won’t file a complaint after the gig. The quartersawn maple neck with slab rosewood fretboard features vintage frets, a comfy ’60 U profile, and a 1.5" nut width—aka the kind of neck that makes you forget what time it is. Plug in and you will hear the Custom Shop Vintage Jazz Bass pickups with that unmistakable Jazz Bass growl, sparkle, and punch, all controlled by classic concentric knobs that look complicated but sound amazing.
The Journeyman Relic treatment adds just a touch of finish checking to the nitro lacquer—enough to say “vintage mojo,” not “survived a bar fight.” It’s a killer bass that plays effortlessly, sounds huge, and looks fantastic. Comes with the original COA and strap in the deluxe black hardshell case.
