1971 Fender Montego Sunburst

This Fender Montego was made in the USA in 1971. It shows only very light wear, and is in fairly immaculate condition overall. The guitar is 100% original. This is a unique and very rare piece of Fender history. Fender originally intended to call these "Broadcasters" but once again the threat of trademark infringement convinced them to rename the model - that said this one actually has a "Broadcaster" interior label hiding under the "Montego" label. The guitar has been pro-setup in our store and is in excellent playing condition. It comes with the original case.
