1961 Fender Stratocaster and Deluxe Amp
Description
The guitar and amp have been together since they were new back in 1961 at a store in Cape Cod. They were traded in at the same store in 1969, and were snatched up by an employee there, who gave it years later to a friend. The guitar is all original (and includes hang tag) with the exception of the three position switch being replaced by a 5-way switch at some point.The guitar has been re-fretted and gone set upby luthier Jim Millinchuck.
Additional note:At that time the original plastic pickguard was removed and set aside and at some point was misplaced –the metal plate under pickguard is original.
The amplifier is in perfect order, with the tubes and capacitors replaced; 3 prong power
added, have all old / removed parts included (see the feature by Dave Hunter on these amps in the current Vintage Guitar Magazine) Selling as a package
