"If we wouldn't play it, we wouldn't sell it."
All specs in photo 5.
Another Hand Selected Gem made in the days when the Fender Custom Shop built guitars with High Decorative woods. This Strat has one of the most Highly Grained Necks to pass thru my shop. Weighing just 7 Lbs 10 Oz's on the digital scale you can easily play thru 4 sets with this one. We just ran it thru the shop giving it a clean bill of health making it eligible for our 2 Free Setups per Year for the Lifetime of Ownership. We then did a complete setup using straight edges and feeler gauges to insure low dead spot free action.
The neck is Chunky, but bot a Boat V. The fret wire is the vintage style that shows little to know wear. The neck is straight and true with a fully functional truss rod.The pickups have been upgraded to a Hand Wound Ron Ellis Strat Set ($800.00) The original pickups are in the case. The instrument doesn't have its COA, but for $75.00 and Fender Service Center can Order a Replacement. The finish has some cosmetic flaws, but nothing that doesn't compliment its appearance in a age of relics. It is a killer Strat priced aggressively, so we don't expect it to hang round very long.
