1970 Fender Bass V "Original Lake Placid Blue"
Description
A 1970 model featuring a custom-colored “Lake Placid Blue Finish” block marker specification.
The world's first 5-string bass, born from a concept distinct from modern multi-string basses, was developed as an instrument capable of unique playing techniques and extended range by shifting the vertical fingering of a standard 4-string model into a parallel configuration.
Produced from its introduction in 1965 until 1970, it is known for being used by Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones.
Excellent Plus Condition, kept in pristine shape as vintage gear.
While it is a rare collectible piece, it is actually a bass we strongly encourage active bassists to choose as a “bass that demands creative playing, both old and new.”
It appears a strap pin was added when it was being used as a left-hand, but it has been beautifully restored.
Pot Date / 304 7051 x2
Price: 990,000JPY
Comes with Original Hard Case
