Electronics: The pickups are grey fiberboard early 1960s-era Fender single coil pickups. The wiring harness has some touched up joints from the replaced neck pickup, and the pot codes date to 1964.

Pickup Measurements: 10.4k (neck), 7.8k (bridge)

Hardware: The pickguard has been modified for the P-bass pickup; there is a small piece of the original guard which has been used to cover the Jazz pickup route. The strap buttons are replaced, and there is a screw replacing the headstock strap button.

Modifications / Repairs: The body has been routed for a P-Bass pickup, which has been installed and wired into the harness. Two areas of wood have been grafted on to the body, and finish has been removed from this area. The pickguard has been modified, as has the headstock shape and tuner buttons. There are several wood plugs throughout the body, mostly along the sides.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Fender Jazz Bass shows very unique wear, with many areas of finish wear, chipping, and repairs present. There are two areas of grafted alder on the body-- on the bass bout, and on the underside of the bass horn. There is also finish worn away from the underside of the treble waist, which may have been sanded away. The back of the neck shows play wear, and the headstock shape has been modified. The tuner buttons have also been shaved down.

Tech Notes: The bass plays well with low action, and the neck has mild relief. The neck has a "7 APR 64 A" heel stamp, and the pot codes date to 1964. The serial number dates to 1964 as well.
