1964 Epiphone E212TD Sheraton "Blonde Finish"
Description
This is a 1964 Epiphone Sheraton manufactured at the Gibson Kalamazoo Factory.
This is the top-of-the-line semi-acoustic model in the Epiphone brand.
This exceptionally rare natural blonde finish
is unique to the Sheraton model within Epiphone's Thinline series,
and only a limited number of these instruments were produced.
This popular specification, featuring a long headstock adopted from late 1964 and a wide nut approximately 42mm wide, was only produced for a few months before the neck width was changed to a narrow 40mm neck.
The sound of the Mini Humbuckers, which carries on the legacy of the New York era, evokes Gibson's “PAF” full-size humbuckers, with its richly harmonic tone—especially in the high frequencies—being particularly appealing.
The rear tone pot and bridge sadles have been replaced, and there are signs that a different tuner was once installed, but it has now been returned to the original Grover 102G.
While there is some minor wear and weathering typical of vintage gear, it remains in excellent plus condition overall.
Pot Date = 1376427 & 1376433
Price: 3,498,000JPY
Comes with Original Gray Tolex Hard Case
