Here we have a beautiful Devon J4 Modern 22 bass in natural! This one is in excellent condition overall.

Specs include a burled redwood top, ash body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard and matching headstock. It has a 1.5” nut width with a 34” scale length. It’s loaded with a set of Aguilar pickups and has an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. The knobs are wooden and recessed, and the control cavity has a wooden magnetic cover that is a nice touch.

This bass is in great shape. It has some light topical marks and signs of use, but no real damage. The satin finish on the back of the neck is a touch glossier from playing. The frets are in good shape.

It weighs 8lbs 10oz. The neck measures .880 to .980 at the 1st and 12th. It has a D shaped neck down low with a full shoulder and nearly flat apex, though it rounds into more of a medium C higher up. The build quality and finer details are excellent. It plays great and really does deliver as a “modern” J-style bass.
