1961 DeArmond R5-T
Description
As the smallest of the rare DeArmond amps, this 1961 R-5T has all the force and grit of a Tweed Champ! Equipped with high-powered transformers, each of these amps packs a punch, and this one might punch the hardest for its stature! This particular amp is in good shape and has had service over the years to keep it sounding as it should. The cord has been converted over to a three-prong, and the internal caps have been serviced and repaired. The tone control noticeably increases the gain, possibly indicating a modification. Internally, there are some replaced components including some capacitors, two potentiometers, a jack, a switch, and an indicator light. The speaker has been replaced with a vintage Rola 10″ speaker. The outside tolex and control plate have some patina and wear, but nothing that would impact the functionality of the amp.
Overall Condition: 7.5
