2006 Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Relic Vintage Blonde

Description

Fender Custom Shop 2006 1960 Stratocaster Relic

This is a “1960 Stratocaster Relic” model in vintage blonde finish with tortoiseshell pickguard.

While alder wood is typically used for the body of 1960s Stratocaster models, vintage Fender guitars from the pre-CBS era had ash bodies with translucent blonde finishes. This guitar follows that specification, employing ash wood for the body.

Damage not resulting from relic processing includes multiple paint chips and shallow dents on the top/back of the body, a buckle mark on the back of the body, multiple shallow indentations on the back of the neck, and multiple impact marks on the tip of the headstock.

The neck shows slight warping, but the sound is not muffled with standard current settings.
