1982 Gibson Moderne Heritage Korina "with A-Serial Number"

Description

This is the Korina Modan, one of the "Korina Trio" models from the Heritage Series released in the early 1980s.

A series reproducing the Flying V and Explorer guitars known as the Modernistic models, which were produced in limited quantities in the late 1950s, using korina wood as was done at the time.
This limited edition model is the first production of the Modern, a legendary guitar designed in the 1950s but never actually manufactured, based on the original patent drawings from that era.

Each production lot of this Heritage Korina series is assigned a serial number beginning with an alphabet from A to H.
Later production runs feature more pieces finished in solid white or black due to factors such as wood grain patterns and knots.

This is an early model with an “A” serial and a low number.

While there is some minor wear, overall it is in excellent clean condition.
It is all straight with all original parts.

This item was once owned by Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, and his signature is written on the back panel.
