Description
Gibson Custom Shop 2016 TAK Matsumoto 1959 Les Paul Aged
This "Tak Matsumoto 1959 Les Paul Aged" is a recreation of the 1959 Les Paul with the serial number "9-1156", which was owned by Tak Matsumoto of B'z. It is based on True Historic specifications.
The neck grip was finished to match the original shape by analyzing 3D scan digital data of the actual instrument. The pickups are a Burstbucker #3 at the neck and a Custombucker at the bridge.
Practical modifications made by the artist himself, such as the metal jack plate and locking strap pins, have also been faithfully reproduced.
It has been re-fretted and re-nutted (originally over-binding). The fret wear is minimal. The guitar is in beautiful condition with only slight, shallow scratches visible on the body back; there are no noticeable signs of heavy use.
The guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity bearing the artist's handwritten signature.
