The neck is very curly Maple. The body has some cool weather checking. This baby sounds terrific, with its Seymour Duncan pickups & upgraded compensated bridge saddles for proper intonation. This is a lovely 50's reissue 43 year old Tele that's gig ready.

Fender dubbed this model "Fullerton '52 Reissue" and they typically included a curly Maple neck, as is the case here.
