1959 Gibson EB-2 "Early Issue"
Description
The EB-2, a thinline body bass model released in late 1958 using the same body as the ES-335.
This is a mid-1959 model equipped with a Varitone switch,
featuring second-version pickups with pole pieces positioned at the center for optimized harmonic composition.
Like the Dot Marker 335, it features rounded cutaway horns known as Mickey Mouse ears.
While vintage gear typically shows weather checking and minor wear, this piece remains in excellent overall condition.
Fading on the red part of the burst color is also minimal.
Tuner buttons are replaced.
