Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Reissue Gloss 2013 - Washed Cherry
Description
Here we have a 2013 ’59 Les Paul from the Gibson Custom Shop! This gloss finish instrument is in good shape overall with some modifications.
Specs include a flame maple top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and trapezoid inlays. It has a 1 11/6” nut width, 12” radius, and 24 3/4” scale length. The bridge is an ABR-1 and the tuners are single ring Deluxe units.
This guitar has had the pickups changed to Custombuckers, which are dated 2022. It also has an Emerson wiring harness installed. The toggle switch has been replaced and the pickup rings are newer M69 units. The strap buttons are changed to Dunlop and it has a metal jack plate.
This is a factory gloss guitar, as opposed to a VOS model. There are a handful of faint dings on the body and a few light topical scratches. There is a little patina on the metal parts too, but less than we usually see on VOS models. The frets are in good shape with the faintest hint of wear. There is also a touch of dye bleed on the neck binding.
This one weighs 8lbs 15oz. The neck measures .900 to 1.015 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a full neck carve with a medium shoulder and more of a D profile. It’s a very nice sounding example that is throaty and resonant off of the body. It has a slinky feel with nice string response. We love the chevron top, and though this has some light player wear, we appreciate the upgraded electronics. It’s definitely a gig-worthy and road-ready guitar!
Ships in the original case and includes the COA, hang tag, and warranty card. The original pickups and parts are not included.
