1996 Fender Custom Shop Vince Cunetto Stratocaster Blonde
Description
One of the first two “Relic” guitars released by the Fender Custom Shop, the other being a Relic Broadcaster. Formerly owned and co-built by legendary luthier Vince Cunetto. Made as a collaboration by Fender Master Builder J.W. Black (selection of woods and building) and Vince Cunetto himself (finishing and aging), a remarkable guitar with well-established provenance and historical significance for Fender’s Custom Shop. A lovely “Mary Kaye” Stratocaster in White Blonde with gold hardware. Lightweight one-piece ash body (6.75 pounds overall), distressed gold parts and nitrocellulose lacquer finish (the aging work is amazing), a large v-profile figured maple neck. Striking looks and beautiful attention to detail, made at the dawn of aged Fender Custom Shop guitars. A rare find with a great origin story. Made in Corona, California, USA, and comes in its factory tweed hard case with framed letter of provenance from Vince Cunetto and John Page-signed COA. Consigned.
