1940 Martin 00-21 Pre War BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD w Original Case, CLEAN, 100% Original!

For your consideration is a beautifully preserved, exceptionally clean inside and out 1940 Martin 00-21. This is a true "Golden Era" survivor featuring a solid Adirondack Spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Finding a pre-war Martin in this state—completely crack-free and 100% original—is becoming difficult.

This guitar has just returned from the bench of renowned vintage Martin expert and luthier Dennis Berck. It received a masterful "pro-standard" refresh to ensure it’s ready for the next 80 years. The work included:

  • Expert Neck Reset & Refret (plays perfectly up and down the neck)

  • Bridge Reglue (Full thickness preserved; absolutely no sanding or thinning of the original footprint)

  • Full Setup

This is a no-excuses, collector-grade instrument. There are no cracks, no refinishes, and no changes whatsoever. It of course features the coveted original scalloped bracing, providing that deep, complex resonance that 12-fret Brazilian Martins are famous for. It plays exceptionally well and sounds absolutely wonderful.

The guitar comes with its original chipboard case in very good shape, along with some "case candy" including very old, vintage string packs from Martin and Gibson.

If you have been looking for a "turn-key" pre-war Martin that needs zero work and carries the pedigree of a master luthier’s touch, this 00-21 is the definitive example.
