1963 Rickenbacker 365 Fireglo gold guard
Description
A wonderful guitar, with a killer look. 1963, with pointy cutaways, gold guard and stovetop style knobs. By 1964 all that had changed. When we got this instrument the top and headstock had been oversprayed, and had a good bit of orange peel in the finish. I was told the finish was original, and it matches the back, which had no orange peel and looked stock. We had the finish on the top and head stock leveled, so it looks great. Has the guitar been refinished? I was told no, and I don't think so, mainly because the back looks factory, but it's priced accordingly. The original silver hard case is included. Pickups, machines, bridge and tremolo, all are stock. There are 3 original 1963 pots, the 4th is a 1961. There is some light fret wear, but plays and sounds so good. I took this to the Nashville guitar show, and it stopped folks in their tracks. This is a magnificent classic instrument, and I thank you for looking.
